How To Pay  Your Tax Online?

You can pay using your bank's website or app for internet banking. When you make direct credit payments, we recommend using the pay tax function provided by most New Zealand banks. (There is no fee for this service.)

You can make payments to us by internet banking, debit or credit card, in myIR or from overseas.

Remember to include your IRD number as a reference.

  1. It is easy to make tax payments in Westpac One® online banking. Follow the steps below: 

  2. Select 'Pay & Transfer' 

  3. Select the 'Set up a payment to Pay tax' link  at the top of the screen

  4. Click 'From' to select the account to pay from  

  5. Click 'Details' to select the type of tax you are paying in the drop down and add in the required information  

  6. Enter the amount for the payment  

  7. If the payment is not intended for today's date, select the date field to choose the payment date and click 'Done' 

  8. Click 'Continue' 

  9. Check the details are correct and click 'Confirm payment'.
