How To Pay  Your GST Online?

You can pay using your bank's website or app for internet banking. When you make direct credit payments, we recommend using the pay tax function provided by most New Zealand banks. (There is no fee for this service.)

How To Pay GST Online?

You can make payments to us by internet banking, debit or credit card, in myIR or from overseas.

Remember to include your IRD number as a reference.

  1. Visit Westpac and sign in to your internet banking.

  2. Click on "Pay & Transfer" either on the left or bottom of the screen.

  3. Click on "Set up a payment to Pay tax".

  4. Select the account you will be paying GST taxes from.

  5. Under Details click "Enter tax details" and for the "Tax payment type:" select "Goods and Services Tax (GST)".

  6. Enter either your personal or company GST number in the IRD number column. It’s the same as your personal or company IRD number.

  7. For the tax period end date select the period for which you need to pay GST.

  8. Then select the year ending for which you need to pay GST.

  9. Click on "Done" to close the "Tax payment type" window.

  10. Enter the amount of GST you are paying for the selected period. (Note that you can make multiple part payments towards your total GST within the due date).

  11. Click on "Continue" and confirm that all the details entered are correct.
